Calling all Glendora, California kid bakers! Guest post by Janelle Copeland about this Sunday’s special event, Kids Cupcake Camp! You can find out more on their Facebook page, like the fact that Olympic gold medalist Bryan Clay is one of their judges.

The Cake Mamas are putting on a HUGE Toy Drive/fundraising event for Shepherd’s Pantry on Sunday Dec 11th at Glendora High School from 1-4pm. We are hoping to raise $10,000 in toys and money for the underserved kids and families at Shepherd’s Pantry. There will be tons of Professional, Amateur and even Student Bakers representing from Charter Oak and Glendora Unified schools. The student bakers are competing in a baking contest to win some serious cash for their school too!

This event is open to everyone! Admission is $10 or a $10 toy. This gets you 4 cupcakes of your choice from any of the participating bakers. There will also be face painting, a bouncer, food trucks, photo booths and much more!

As I plot the 33 states in which I need to eat cupcakes to complete my eating-cupcakes-in-all-50-states quest, Hawaii is high on my list of states I wanted to visit!
